67-year-old caucasian man without significant past medial history presented with colicky abdominal pain, in the ight lower quadrant, for the last 3 weeks. He also referred total weight loss of 10% during the last month. Comlete blood count revealed hemoglobin of 9.0 g/dL with ormal platelet and leukocyte count. Biochemical tests howed elevated C-reactive protein 148 (N: <3 mg/L) and rythrocyte sedimentation 78 (N <20 mm 1st hour). Serum actate dehydrogenase levels were 1340 (N: 135--225 U/L). bdominopelvic computed tomography (CT) showed hepaomegaly and splenomegaly and a small amount of ascitis onsistent with peritoneal carcinomatosis (Fig. 1). CT also evealed parietal thickening of the intestinal wall in the epatic flexure. Colonoscopy showed in the hepatic flexure ne round shape lesion, with 20 mm of maximum diameter, redominately with normal mucosa and central ulceration Fig. 2). Biopsies were performed and histologic examinaion revealed fragments of colorectal mucosa type, some ith chorion occupied by some malignant cells of diffuse attern consisting of intermediate to large cells.
