The stress-strain anisotropy -including both elastic properties anddislocation distributions- of crystalline systems can be studied using adislocation model proposed by Ung\'ar and Borb\'ely. However this modelrequires fundamental parameters (i.e., contrast factors), which take intoaccount both the elastic properties and symmetry for each system. In thisstudy, such contrast factors were calculated from first principles for cubicslip-systems through the evaluation of the distortion tensor in adislocation-dependent coordinate set. Moreover, a straightforward expressionfor the computation of contrast factors is provided. Further analysis of themicrostructural parameters was carried out using the modified Williamson-Hallmethod to characterize rock-salt materials.
