The radiative transport equation accurately describes light transport inparticipating media such as biological tissues, though analytic solutions areknown only for simple geometries. We present a pseudospectral technique toefficiently compute numerical solutions to the time-dependent transportequation in arbitrary three-dimensional heterogeneous media with anisotropicscattering. Our GPU-accelerated implementation of the technique is validated bycomparison with a Monte-Carlo simulation, demonstrating excellent agreement.
