A 20-year-oldfemalepatientpresentedwithfever,pharyngitisand lymphadenopathy. The diagnosis of infectious mononu-cleosis wasestablishedby highlevelsofIgMantibodiesagainstthe Epstein–Barr virus. Fifteen days after the onset of symp-toms shedevelopedamaculopapulargeneralizedrash(Fig.1),which resolved within a few days, without any special treat-ment.
