Prospective detection of patients with advanced rectal cancer (LARC) who have a higher probability of responding to preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) may provide individualized therapy. Lipidomics is an emerging science dedicated to the characterization of lipid fingerprint involved in different pato-physiological conditions.
