International audienceIn this paper we describe some of the past, present and near future experiments that take advantage of clocks in space for tests of fundamental physics, together with some of the theoretical background. It is impossible to describe all missions and projects in the field, and we will only mention some of the most important ones. Nonetheless, we hope that the reader will learn from the past, appreciate the present and look forward to the future of space clocks in fundamental physics
