Using kinetic Monte Carlo simulations, we study the effect of oscillatorykinetics due to surface reconstructions on Ziff-Gulari-Barshad (ZGB) modeldiscontinuous phase transition. To investigate the transition, we computefourth-order cumulant values and do extensive finite size scaling analysis. Itis found that the discontinuous transition still exists. On inclusion ofdesorption in the model, this phenomenon continues till a certain desorptionrate. Above this, the finite size scaling analysis suggests anomaloustransition behavior. Controlling parameter versus fourth order cumulant plotsshow interesting variations with increase in the desorption rate. We calculateseveral points on the coexistence curve.
