As the generalization of gravitational effects on the point mass systems, wewant to study the tidal effect exerted on an extended stellar system usingspherical and axisymmetric elliptical models. Considering the Isochrone andPlummer models for a passing extended stellar system, the tidal distance andthe equipotential surface are calculated. The corresponding critical surfacesand maps are plotted in different cases. There are different results some ofthem may be used in describing stellar systems deformation
