Radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer is among the most invasive procedures in gastrointestinal surgery. Several studies have found that an enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol is useful in patients who undergo colorectal surgery, but its value in gastric surgery remains uncertain.
