The form factors of the weak currents, which appear in the semileptonicdecays of the heavy pseudoscalar mesons, are calculated within the quarkconfinement model by taking into account, for the first time, the structure ofheavy meson vertex and the finite quark mass contribution in the heavy quarkpropagators.
