The paper deals with the problem of coupling of various efiective properties of a random mixture. It is shown that efiective properties of a random sta- tionary composite formed of two difierent materials are coupled through the spectral measure in the Stieltjes representation of the efiective properties. This gives an approach to indirect evaluation of the efiective thermal or hydraulic conductivity of a random material from known efiective complex permittivity of the same mixture. The spectral measure is reconstructed from efiective complex permittivity measurements and used to estimate other efiective properties of the same material.
