s received warnings. Figure 4 shows the fraction of [known] in 50 abstracts. All of the warned abstracts contain too much known information. In other words, there were no missing result warnings. Although not used in the evaluation experiment, there can be other evaluation criteria, such as the condition that the known information and the new information should not alternate too many times, in order to facilitate reading of the abstract (a switch between known and new information in successive sentences, for example, is not considered good). The appearances of the known and new information can be detected by examining the sequence of semantic roles by the method in this study. As to the decision criterion for the alternation of the known and new information, however, a more precise survey should be made in the future.
