In this paper the multicasting of independent parallel Gaussian sources overa binary erasure broadcasted channel is considered. Multiresolution embeddedquantizer and layered joint source-channel coding schemes are used in order toserve simultaneously several users at different channel capacities. The convexnature of the rate-distortion function, computed by means of reversewater-filling, allows us to solve relevant convex optimization problemscorresponding to different performance criteria. Then, layered jointsource-channel codes are constructed based on the concatenation of embeddedscalar quantizers with binary rateless encoders.
