In the preterit and current landscapes of Modelo-SC are observed ruptures and continuities between objects, shapes and functions. Those transformations are motivated by changes in the relationship between society and the environment through the techniques. The municipality of Modelo, taken as area of research, showed significant changes in the landscape from the beginning of colonization in the late 1940s to the present day. The historical and photographic registers proved to be an important source to accompany these changes, assisting in understanding territorial formation of forms and spatial contents. It was shown, in this way, that the current landscape guard multiple inheritance - between continuities and ruptures – in the forms and contents that made up the landscapes of the past. Although, the adoption of modern techniques, such as observed of highways, building systems and power supply, imposes significant changes to the landscape, cannot be completely disregarded the past functions that authorized the ways of work in another moment
