Two children with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis have been treated with cyclophosphamide. No definite change in disease activity which could be attributed to this treatment was seen in either child. The duration of treatment was approximately one year in each case. The immediate and future hazards of this therapy may cancel out any benefits, even in the case of an extremely sick child.
