The article presents Ruben Heryan's selfless dedication to his work - searching and finding the orphans, women and girls during the Armenian Genocide and placing them in orphanages as well as Heryan’s cooperation with the Armenian National Society, with the Commonwealth of Aid to Armenians in Mesopotamia and other charitable foundations. It is important to note the close connection of Heryan with the legionaries of the Armenian Legion - Jim Chankalyan, George Tagagchyan and others, since Heryan himself was a member of the Armenian Legion and held the post of corporal./Հոդվածում ներկայացվում է Ռուբեն Հերյանի անձնուրաց նվիրումը իր աշխատանքին՝ հայ որբերին, կանաց և աղջիկներին Հայոց ցեղասպանության տարիներին որոնելու, գտնելու և որբանոցներում տեղակայելու մասին, ինչպես նաև Հերյանի համագործակցությունը Հայ ազգային միության, Միջագետքի Հայ օգնության կոմիտեի և այլ բարեգործական միությունների հետ: Կարևորվում է Հերյանի մտերմիկ կապը Հայկական լեգեոնի լեգեոնականների հետ՝ Ջիմ Չանկալյան, Ջորջ Թագագճյան և այլք, որովհետև Ռուբեն Հերյանը նույնպես անդամակցել է Հայկական լեգեոնին որպես կապրալ:
