The paper touches upon Simeon Yerevantsi‘s spiritual and scientific activity that has an important nfluence on the historical life of our nation. For conducting the research we have had important sources and scientific literature.He is the author of numerous works of religious, philosophical and historical nature, which are considered to be important sources in Armenian historiography. The clergyman and historiographer Simeon Yerevantsi is noteworthy for his large-scale national-patriotic and political works./Հոդվածի շրջանակներում սկզբնաղբյուրների հաղորդումների և գիտական գրականության համադրմամբ առանձին ուսումնասիությանառարկա է դարձել Սիմեոն Երևանցու հոգևոր ու գիտական գործունեությունը, որն առանձնահատուկ հետք է թողել մեր ժողովրդի պատմական կյանքում: Նրա գրչին են պատկանում կրոնական, փիլիսոփայական ու պատմագիտական բնույթի բազմաթիվ աշխատություններ, որոնք կարևոր սկզբնաղբյուրներ են համարվում հայ պատմագրության մեջ: Սիմեոն Երևանցի հոգևորականը և պատմագիրը աչքի է ընկնում նաև ազգային-հայրենասիրական ու քաղաքական հսկայածավալ աշխատանքներով:
