The article is based on competency-based approaches to teaching elective science "Alternative energy sources in the education system", forms and means of education, software-based teaching aids in the context of pedagogical bases of developing students' alternative energy competencies, including e-textbooks, e-textbooks, an analysis of the didactic possibilities of using virtual laboratory stands, multimedia tools, training simulators and tools for monitoring and evaluating student knowledge.
