The need to use anti-filtration devices in the biopond bowl usually arises whenthe levels of waste liquid in them exceed the surface water table in the banks of thegully and, therefore, it is possible for this liquid to spread out of the biopond. Thefight against water filtration from the canals is carried out by forming a waterprooflayer along the perimeter of the canal cross-section. This layer is made by covering thebottom and slopes of the channel with a lining of foreign material. The linings, depending on the design, serve not only to combat filtration, but also to protect thechannel from erosion by water flow, wave and ice effects, etc. Anti-seepage coatings aremade of clay and soil screens, screens made of polymer materials, concrete andreinforced concrete, asphalt concrete and bituminous linings. A biopond for biologicalwastewater treatment is a simple, useful and economical construction. Considering thesharply continental climate of the Aral Sea region (in winter up to -30 ° C, and insummer up to +40 ° C), anaerobic - aerobic biopondsare offered. In order to preventcontamination of groundwater in bioponds, it is necessary to provide anti-seepagescreens. Anti-seepage coatings are made of clay and soil screens, screens made ofpolymer materials, concrete and reinforced concrete, asphalt concrete and bituminouslinings
