The purpose of this study is to find out in which publications biomedical researchers from Granada published their works in the 1988 to 1996 period.\udMaterials and Methodology: Both by searching the IME, Medline and SCI databases and applying the Bradford model the journals in which these authors published their research was found.\udResults: Results are shown for both the total number of journals as well as the number of foreign and national journals. In the first case it was determined that the majority are Spanish journals, although four foreign journals are also amongst the most frequently used. These and the top Spanish journals are included in SCI. In the foreign journals group a larger amount in publication in these journals is seen due to greater investment in GDP and pressure to publish in foreign journals which began to be felt at the beginning of the nineties. Core disciplines are the most frequent to publish in these journals. In the national journal group it can be seen that most of them are specialized and that very few of them are of a general nature. They are journals used for publishing mainly by clinical disciplines.\udConclusions: Output is mostly national. The amount of research published in international journals has increased as has the interest in international journals on core disciplines. Clinical disciplines publish in specialist national journals of little international scope
