The revival of felt art in Mongolia in the case of the artist Munkhsoyol Batsukh

Объектом исследования является творчество одного из мастеров декоративно-прикладного искусства Мунхсоёла Батсуха. В статье рассмотрены вопросы истории развития войлочного искусства Монголии на протяжении веков. Показано, что традиции народных мастеров не утрачены, а активно применяются современными мастерами. В частности, возрождаются приемы, сложившиеся еще в гуннское время. В орнаментации распространены монгольские растительные и геометрические узоры, в сюжетных композициях используются образы народной мифопоэтики. В статье дан анализ трех серий работ художника — крупных ковровых изделий для торжественных правительственных церемоний, «Связь прошлого и настоящего», «Сцены охоты». The object of the study is the work of Munkhsoyol Batsukh, one of the masters of decorative and applied art. The article considers the issues of the history of the development of the felt art of Mongolia, its development over the centuries. The author showed that the traditions of folk masters are not lost, but are actively used by modern masters. In particular, the techniques that have developed in the Hunnic times are being revived. Mongolian floral and geometric patterns are widespread in ornamentation, images of folk mythic poetics are used in plot compositions. The article analyzes three series of works by the artist — large carpets for solemn government ceremonies, “The connection between the past and the present”, “Hunting scenes”.
