Atila Iamarino is a brazilian biologist and a youtuber, a person who creates and uploads videos on YouTube, that became very much famous in the pandemic scenario of 2020 in this country. He has two channels in YouTube Brazil and their videos are about science in general. When an American platform streaming service and production company Netflix distributed the documentary The Social Dilemma (Netflix, 2020) in Brazil, the Atila Iamarino’s channel created a video discussing Facebook. The video was an opportunity for so many views because the documentary became very much commented on by the brazilian public opinion. So, this paper aims to discuss the relationship between Atila Iamarino video and the documentary The Social Dilemma (Netflix, 2020). In this way, intends to analyze the contribution of scientific dissemination that the youtuber performs to brazilian people especially about theories and researches in communication studies. In terms of methodologies, this paper is a bibliographic research and cultural circuit analysis. As a result, it intends to dialogue with researchers that investigate documentary, video and science communication in the world.
