This article sets out the main directions of Uzbekistan's criminal policy, the gradual reduction of punitive elements and their transformation into the educational, broader implementation of the principle of economy of criminal repression. This article considers the experience of foreign countries in implementing the Code of Criminal Offences, as well as the necessity and importance of this institution.
