An aggravated scheme of ecological/economic grounds for the choice of the best available techniques has been proposed. Drawbacks of the traditional methods of technical/economic grounds for the choice of techniques have been revealed. An indicator of reduced ecological costs has been proposed. It's application will secure objectivity of the ecological/economic procedures of comparison.
