Ecological aspects of urea influence on hydro/cenosis condition and hydrocoles functioning have been discussed. In model conditions the Elodea hatching in the urea presence has shown that the urea low concentrations stimulate the photosynthetic pigments accumulation and promote the urease ferment performance while the higher concentrations suppress these processes. The necessity of controlling the urea and other nitrogen-containing compounds flows to water bodies has been substantiated.
