Particular features of the Chezy coefficient assignment for channel flows have been considered. It has been shown that the majority of traditional assessment methods for this coefficient gives rather close results for the ridge-free regime. Situation becomes much more complicated with the ridge regime as in this case it is necessary to take into account the particles stability coefficient among other determining parameters. Current approaches to the Chezy coefficient assessment in case of the ridge regime have been analyzed. It has been demonstrated that these coefficients considerably affect the channel glows’ hydro/morphological parameters.
