Significance and urgency of the tourism branch development as a sector of economy have been substantiated as well as the necessity of determination of ecosystem services cost and including of the latter in the integrated cost assessment of a natural body. Some examples of introduction of payment foe ecosystem services at the global level are given. Review of UN Program documents “Ecosystem Assessment on the Eve of Millennium” is made and the conclusion on the necessity of the assessment of overall value of a natural body including the cost of all its resources and ecosystem services is formulated. An example of a surface water body as a touristic natural resource and a set of ecosystem services offered for integrated cost assessment on the basis of the concept of overall economic value is considered.
