A load upon water bodies of Federal districts and major basins of Russia in 2005–2008 has been considered. Tendencies for changes in water consumption volumes of households, manufacturing and mining branches of industry, power industry, and agriculture have been revealed. The branches’ forecast assessments of water consumption have been calculated for 2020.
