The paper deals with the current topic of the possible departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union and its position within the integration. This paper analysis the alternative models between the UK’s relationship with the European Union, in case, if there were to be a vote to leave. Secondary data analysis will be the primary method used within the article. The aim of the paper is to summarize information on the current situation between the UK and the EU and to indicate which of the analysed models does not provide sufficient conditions according to ideas of the UK in the further direction of the relationship with the EU. It provides examples of states that are not members of the EU however have other types of agreements with it – specifically this paper deals with Norwegian model and Swiss model and tries to through analysis and comparison methods to evaluate which of alternative models bring greater benefits to the United Kingdom. It stresses the need to consider that the conclusions may change as talks between the EU and the United Kingdom are still ongoing and the situation can be described as volatile.
