The purpose of this research was to know whether there is a significant relation between extrinsic motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Elementary School in regional I of Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative using the correlational method. The sample selection uses Cluster Sampling technique, so that in this research a sample of 183 students. Data collecting conducted by using questionnaire, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques in this research used correlation techniques of product moment. The results of data analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of 0,452 and t-value higher than t-table or 6,815 > 1,653, so that from the results of this research it can be concluded that there is a significant relation between extrinsic motivation and mathematics learning outcomes the increase of extrinsic motivation, followed by an increase in mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Elementary School in regional I of Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru.
