Masnavi is a prominent kind of poetry in Persian as well as in Urdu.In Urdu literature, it commences from the Behmani Era and the first Masnavi of that era is KadamRaoPadamRao by Fakhar Din Nizami. In Adil Shahi and Qutab Shahi periods, it became the most famous poetic genre. In these periodsMasnavis were written in a great number. In this research paper, the researcher has discussed DakkaniMasnaviand its evolution in full detail.
