Heart failure is not a specific disease or diagnosis. This is a syndrome in which severe dys-function leads to the inability of the cardiovascular system to maintain adequate blood circulation. There are limited and specific research methods for this pathology that are not available to most vet-erinarians. Therefore, biochemical analysis is important as a criterion for diagnosing heart failure in dogs.
