In this work, we employ the Millennium Simulation, which constitutes the largest simulation of structureformation carried out so far, to study the implications of the hierarchical agregation of the structure on theformation and, chemical and dynamical evolution of massive elliptical, dwarf irregular and Milky Way-typegalaxies.
