. A case of carcinoma of the adrenal cortex in a post‐menopausal woman is described, in which a high excretion of urinary oestrogens, an increased oestrogen activity in vaginal smear and a clear oestrogen effect in the endometrium were observed. The possibility that a carcinoma in the adrenal cortex may produce oestrogens or their precursors is discussed.
