Análisis de los indicadores de competitividad de las exportaciones de fresa mexicana

espanolLos principales paises productores de fresa son China, Estados Unidos de America, Mexico, Turquia y Egipto, los cuales en conjunto aportan mas del setenta por ciento del volumen total de la produccion de fresa en el mundo y por otro lado, los principales paises exportadores son Espana, Estados Unidos de America, Mexico, Paises Bajos y Belgica, destacando Mexico como tercer productor y exportador de fresa en el mundo. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar la competitividad de las exportaciones de la fresa mexicana en el mercado mundial exportador, con el calculo de los indices de exportacion, de ventaja relativa de exportaciones y de ventaja comparativa revelada, con informacion estadistica de las variables de produccion, exportacion e importacion, tomada de las bases de datos de FAS-USDA y FAOSTAT. Los indices obtenidos de exportacion, mayor que cero, ventaja relativa de las exportaciones, mayor que uno y ventaja comparativa revelada, mayor que uno, reflejan que la produccion de fresa mexicana tiene una especializacion exportadora y las exportaciones de fresa mexicana son competitivas en el mercado exportador. Asimismo, los indices calculados positivos para los principales paises exportadores fueron mayores para Espana, seguido de Mexico y por ultimo de Estados Unidos de America, reflejando especializacion exportadora y competitividad de las exportaciones diferenciadas. EnglishThe main strawberry producing countries are China, the United States of America, Mexico, Turkey and Egypt, which together contribute more than seventy percent of the total volume of strawberry production in the world and, on the other hand, the main exporting countries are Spain, the United States of America, Mexico, the Netherlands and Belgium, highlighting Mexico as the third largest strawberry producer and exporter in the world. The objective of the work is to analyze the competitiveness of the exports of the Mexican strawberry in the world exporting market, with the calculation of the export indexes, relative advantage of exports and revealed comparative advantage, with statistical information of the production variables, export and import, taken from the FAS-USDA and FAOSTAT databases. The export indices obtained, greater than zero, relative advantage of exports, greater than one and revealed comparative advantage, greater than one, reflect that the production of Mexican strawberry has an export specialization and the exports of Mexican strawberry are competitive in the export market. Likewise, the positive calculated indexes for the main exporting countries were higher for Spain, followed by Mexico and finally by the United States of America, reflecting export specialization and competitiveness of differentiated exports
