The article analyzes the three-year, three-factor experience of the impact of the system of forest strips and mineral fertilizers on the yield of spring wheat soft Favorit in the Volga steppe is studied. The theoretical aspect of solving the problem of increasing the yield of spring wheat using analytical and empirical methods, on the basis of which the multiple regression is built, was studied. During the research period, the increase in the yield of spring wheat under the influence of optimal designs of forest strips and fertilizers increased by 3.0%. In wet years, it is necessary to increase the dose of mineral fertilizers in the form of fertilizing during the growing season of spring wheat.  The influence of openwork and distance from the forest shelterbelts, time of day on the illumination of spring wheat crops was studied. The regression analysis used the relative illumination as the ratio of illumination under the influence of field-protective forest strips to the illumination of the open field of spring wheat. The analysis of regression-correlation revealed that the greatest impact on the yield of spring wheat, have a dose of fertilizers and openwork, then the dose of fertilizers and the distance from the forest strip and the least – openwork and the distance from the forest strip.
