n this research we tried to improve the thermal insulation efficiency of polystyrenefoam by adding some natural materials. The gebrile soil was selected for severalreasons, including abundance and ease of processing before the addition - There aremany previous researches for soil treatment -. We have found at ratio 20%(Theproportion of the soil in the compound) the coefficient of conduction is low andthen rises after this percentage As for the absorption of water it increases byincreasing the soil, but at this ratio the absorption is within the permissible limitaccording to the specifications required for the insulation materials and alsocompressive strength increase with the increasing of the soil ratio because ofincreasing of mechanical links between the polycarbonate and polystyrene particlesand composite-material’s density increasing in general.
