By analyzing the theory of local power control from the perspective of decentralization, this article points out the inadequacies of the Vietnamese local power control mechanism which has been influenced by the centralization principle. The article concludes that Vietnam has to enhance the decentralization in order to build a more effective local power control mechanism. However, the decentralization also leads difficulties and challenges for the control of local power. Therefore, it is necessary to establish solutions for the implementation of this mechanism.
