This paper entitled Code Switching Found in The Novel “Amore”. Based on the background, there are two problems that found in this paper specifically the type and the function of code switching used in the novel entitled Amore. The aims of this paper are finding out, identifying and describing the Indonesian English code switching that found in the novel entitled Amore. There are two theories that applied in this paper, first is the theory of the type of code switching by Poplack (1995) in Romaine and the second is the theory of the fucnction of Code Switching by Appel and Muysken (1987). The data of this paper was taken from the novel entitled Amore written by Margaret in 2005. The first step of collecting the data was reading the whole story carefully then the data that contain code switching were underlined and identified. After that, the data were taken through the note taking. The collecting data were quantitatively and descriptively analyzed.
