This essay presents Osman Lins’ novel, Avalovara. The complex structureof this work is here highlighted, related to the Pitagoras’ geometric and mathematicalforms, the symbolic language associated with the hermetical, intertextualreferences and myths, the palindrome, the spiral and the square, that compose, amongother elements, this intense story of love and knowledge.
