Here we report the first sighting of a bob cat (Lynx rufus) in the Malinche National Park in an area located in the eastern part of the municipality of Ixtenco, Tlaxcala, at an altitude of 3100 masl. This is the second documented sighting of this species in the State of Tlaxcala. We also provide information on its distribution. This finding is useful for investigations regarding the present state of populations of this felid relevant to its conservation. Key words: Tlaxcala, carnivore, Lynx rufus, bobcat. Palabras clave: Tlaxcala, Carnivora, Lynx rufus, lince, gato montes.
