Традиция и трансформация монгольской версии «Истории Арджи Бурджи-хана»

There are three texts in the Mongolian language which tell the story of the life of King Bigarmidzhid — “History of Bigarmijid Khan”, “History of Arji Burji Khan” and “History of Gesne Khan”. The trilogy connected by a single plot is built on the basis of the stories of thirty-two wooden men of the magical royal throne. It is believed that the trilogy originated in India, but there are no records on whether it was transmitted orally or in writing and on who and when translated it. This article gives a comparative analysis of the Mongolian (Mongolian, Buryat and Kalmyk) versions of the “History of Arji Burji Khan”.
