The results of studying the effect of air-thermal oxidation on the elemental and phase compositions, morphology and microhardness of the modified surface of the zirconium alloy E-110 are presented. It was established that during the processing of samples, coatings were formed on the surface, the elemental and phase compositions of which mainly depended on the temperature conditions of oxidation. The morphology and thickness were significantly affected by the temperature of the reaction medium and the duration of the treatment. It was found that the oxidation temperature of 400 ° C and 500 ° C with a duration of 1, 2 and 3 hours are the most appropriate modes for the formation of mechanically strong coatings.
