The Urbach rule in MnGa_2Se_4 single crystals is studied. It is found that the long-wavelength absorption tail obeys the Urbach rule at photon energies in the range 2 . 1–2 . 2 eV. It is shown that a strong electron–phonon interaction exists in MnGa_2Se_4 single crystals.
