This text presents the results of a study that sought to analyze the perceptions of the library system’s usersat the Federal University of Santa Maria, concerning the services and spaces offered by them. A case study was carried out anddata collection was donethrough an online questionnaire, sent to UFSM students, teachers and administrative technicians. The results showed that users are unaware of most of the spaces and services offered by libraries, which may indicate, both the under-utilization of many of them andthe convenience of the need ofa communication plan for dissemination and better guidance for users.
