Abstract A 4‐inch, 180×60 pixels, high luminance (>1000 nits), high luminance efficiency (>7.5 lm/W), multi‐color field‐emission display (FED) was reported for applications requiring high brightness. The technical development, including design and fabrication of the anode plate, the emitter plate with low parasitic capacitance, and package processes of vacuum sealing were also described.
