UNDERSTANDING OF TEXTUAL MESSAGES WITHIN TWO LINGUOCULTURES

The article deals with the general aspects of understanding and in particular understanding and interpretation of a literary text. The problem goes further to understanding of textual messages within two or more linguistic cultures. The author also focuses on the contents of understanding as a phenomenon, the contents born by the aesthetic and creative impact of the language. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of understanding as a concept of cognitive linguistics and through the theory of cognitive schemes.
