RESUMO: O lugar do intelectual e a sua atuação no espaço público são discutidos recorrendo a vários teóricos que refletiram sobre o tema. Levando em consideração variados conceitos de “intelectual”, desde a origem do termo, o texto aponta para o diálogo que o intelectual promove, hoje, no espaço público, com as vozes de outros sujeitos sociais. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: intelectual, espaço público, novos agentes sociais. ABSTRACT: The role of the intellectual and its effects on the public space are assessed by several experts on the subject. Taking into account the different definitions of “intellectual” beginning with the origin of the term, the text examines the recent dialogue promoted by today’s intellectual with other social agents in the public space.
