In the now-named article, which appeared in Doctor No. 1 of 1898, Dr Massen touched upon two issues relating to the therapy of childbirth complicated by a relative pelvic contraction, namely, the question of the statistical history of obstetric cases and the question of how to take a turn in a narrow pelvis. Both issues are among the most important in midwifery, and therefore a few comments on Dr Massen's article will hopefully not be uninteresting for most of our comrades.
