Mulheres e a qualidade de vida: duas normas ou uma?

O artigo trata da questão de como podemos avaliar as injustiças suscitadas pela existência de duas normas sociais distintas para a vida de homens e mulheres. Argumenta-se que essas injustiças tornam-se mais visíveis quando se confronta essa diferenciação tal como existe em sociedades de tipo "liberal" comn o modo como se apresenta em sociedades "tradicionais". Essa comparação pode revelar o papel que o apelo a uma noção de natureza humana pode desempenhar na crítica às injustiças de gênero, diversamenter do que sustentam as feministas que aderem ao relativismo cultural ou moral. How to evaluate the injustices arising from the existence of two distinct social normas for the lifes of men and women? The author argues that these injustices become more visible when the way this distinction appears in a "liberal" society is compared with the way it manifests itself in a "traditional" society. This comparison can reveal the role which an appeal to an human nature may play in the criticism of gender injustices, in opposition to the views of feminists who adhere to cultural or moral relativism
